Your naturally curly hair is undoubtedly awed by many and yet requires a little special tender lovin’! This routine is especially helpful for taming unwanted frizz, preventing split ends, and nourishing for added shine!

Pre-Wash

Apply about 1 tsp of raw virgin coconut oil to the ends of your hair to nourish, shine, and tame frizz. Once applied, roll into a hair twist (bun) and secure. Wear for 10-15 minutes before showering OR sleep with it if you plan to wash your hair in the morning. Rinse out, followed by your shampoo and conditioner.

Nourishing Mask

Once/week it’s also a great idea to apply the Leyla Milani Hair ‘Rescue Me’ hair mask for deep conditioning. This is SUCH an effective remedy to strengthen your locks providing them added nutrition for growth, radiance, and durability. Simple apply for 5-10 minutes and rinse out (post-shampooing).

Always Finish with Cold

Once you’re nearing the end of your shower, give your head a blast of cold water (as cold as you can take it!) in order to close of cuticles and boost shine. This is also great for the pores of your skin!

Blow-drying your Tresses

Before blow-drying your hair, it’s also a great idea to use a heat protectant spray to save your hair from potential heat damage. It’s best to use a Professional Ionic Blow-dryer that will offer extra protection towards healthier and shinier hair.

When blow-drying your hair, turn your head upside down and blow-dry the roots first (until about 80% dry). This will add much more volume! Next, turn your head over and section your hair off using your ‘Gator Grips’ to complete the drying process. In workable sections (beginning around your neck first). Comb your hair using your Miracle Brush and then take a round brush under each section, gliding your blow-dryer with the brush and aim from the roots down to the ends. Note: never blow-dry upward as this will create frizz. Then place the round brush over your hair and blow-dry in the same direction (alternating in this fashion helps to achieve a smoother look). Continue this until you’ve completed your entire head.

For baby hairs: take a smaller round brush and work them in the same method, which will allow them to lay flat in the direction of your hair instead of upwards.

Finish this look with a light application of argan oil to the ends of your hair for added shine and conditioning!
