Easy Gym Hairstyles

Even though workout sessions should technically be fitness focused, wouldn’t be great to still look cute in the process? Unless you’ve got a home gym with no onlookers, the fitness scene has tons of wandering eyes. Here are some of the best styles to stay adorable AND break a sweat at the same time (and don’t worry, they’re totally practical):

The Perky Pony

Known as the regular gym staple style, it’s your classic high ponytail roughly gathered and secured. Use your fingertips to gather your hair (not a brush), since you want it to appear casual and messy as opposed to sleek. To add a bit of volumizing texture, use your Leyla Milani Hair “Big Hair Don’t Care” Volume Boosting Powder.

The Tight Fishtail

Braids aren’t just for chic lunches and to bring out your inner bohemian. They not only look extremely cute, but will keep all your hair away from your face (unless you’re going full grunge of course). The tight fishtail tops a loose regular braid, since it tends to hold much better throughout your training session.

The Ballet Bun

The runway has proven you don’t need to be a ballerina to rock a ballet bun, and so has the gym. Make this look ultra ‘messy chic’ by roughing up the texture at the top of your had (add a few dashes of your volume boosting powder!) and also leaving a few strands loose in front.

The Simple Headband

Rev up your ponytail jazz with a simple headband – go black, nude, or add some color for fun. It’s a great way to keep those extra-layered strands at bay and it can also dress up an otherwise boring ponytail!

Twisted Low-Bun

Simply twist your hair into a low bun at the nape of your neck and secure with an elastic band. You can also add a few bobby pins if there are some pieces escaping. This look is extremely cute and flattering, while also never getting in the way of your workout. Let a few pieces hang out at front for some extra flair.
