Fall Hair Trends 2013
The spirit of Fall is fast approaching and with it comes gorgeous new color palettes, high fashions, and chic hairstyles to match this posh season. Straight from the runway, here are the most talked about Fall 2013 hair trends to make your own.
Definitely a style favorite, the low ponytail can be worn 3 ways: Messy, Sleek, or Bouncy, depending on whether you’re going for “effortless chic”, “sophisticated”, or “playful”.
• In a messy ponytail, be sure to let a few pieces loose and play around with how you part your hair as well. The key is for it to look undone and tousled.
• For the sleek pony, make it glossy, combed, and tight.
• Last, for the bouncy pony, give it a medium wave by wrapping sections of the pony around a medium barrel curling iron. For added style, wrap a piece of the pony around the hair-tie to conceal it with your own hair and secure with a bobby pin.
Faux Side Bangs
By simply making a low side-part and then sweeping that section of hair to the other side, you’ve then created beautiful faux bangs! Give it a light coat of hairspray and work it into any hairstyle—up or down.
For mega volume, tightly curl your hair using a 1” barrel curling iron (part of the Milani Hair Triple Threat
). Let your hair set for 10 minutes and then use a boar bristle brush to comb back each piece.
Once your entire head has been teased, throw your head forward and shake your head while applying a light coat of hairspray throughout.
Undone and Texturized
Simplicity is sexy! To achieve subtle waves that don’t appear “done”, simply twirl small sections of hair between your fingers and blow-dry using a diffuser. This will create that trendy, effortless texture.
Last, braids are HUGE this season. Side braids, fish tails, fun twists, and ropey versions—they can be made to compliment any look. You can even sport it in an up-do by doing a reverse French braid or leave it relaxed and add a chic headband.
